"Let the picture lead you where it must go." - Helen Frankenthaler

I observe the world around me, take it all in and find the essence.  Imagines spark stories and emotions that inspire me to create.  I use different mediums, in my art, to examine and express the world's beauty, glory, and peace.

Over my fine arts career, my style has evolved from a realistic representational technique to a "less is more" philosophical style.  My painting style is rooted from my classical training and studies in the Renaissance Tradition of strong composition and mastery of drawing skills.  During my undergraduate studies, my interests turned to the latter end of Impressionism into Post-Impressionistic art and the use of color and how light effects nature and objects.

Matisse once said, "Creativity takes courage."  To me, it takes courage to go after that creativity and discover your style of art.
